Regenerative & Targeted Therapies
Specialist image-guided biologic and interventional treatments designed to support repair,
reduce pain & restore function.
Our Approach
Treatment should follow diagnosis — not trends.
At MBR Health, regenerative and interventional treatments are selected only after the clinical question has been defined. The aim is not to offer a procedure first, but to identify the tissue, joint, tendon, nerve or spinal structure most likely to benefit from targeted treatment.
Precision Treatment
Precision therapies, guided by diagnosis.
Our treatment pathways combine high-fidelity imaging, specialist interpretation and image-guided delivery. Therapies may include platelet-rich plasma, hyaluronic acid, corticosteroid injection and radiofrequency treatment — selected by diagnosis, anatomy and patient goals.
Beyond the Injection
The biology matters.
The target matters more.
Regenerative treatment is not simply a substance placed into the body. Its value depends on the diagnosis, the tissue being treated, the biological rationale, the dose delivered and the accuracy of placement. At MBR Health, treatment is guided by imaging and selected according to the structure most likely to be driving the problem.
CT-guided Radiofrequency Ablation Guided by Mechanism
Not every pain needs an injection. Not every injection is regenerative.
Some conditions require repair-focused treatment. Others require inflammation control, nerve-targeted intervention, mechanical support or referral for another form of care. The role of diagnosis is to choose the right pathway — not simply the most advanced-sounding procedure.
World-class 3T MRI Calibrated by Mr Ben Kennedy Clinical Suitability
Every patient is different.
Regenerative and cellular therapies are not suitable for all patients. Suitability depends on diagnosis, medical history, imaging findings, available evidence, treatment alternatives and clinical assessment. Some cellular therapies remain considered experimental in Australia and require careful clinical governance, consent and patient selection.

Common Questions from patients
Frequently Asked Questions
What is PRP?
PRP stands for platelet-rich plasma. It is a treatment made from your own blood, processed to concentrate platelets and their associated signalling molecules, then delivered to a selected tissue target.
Why does platelet dose matter in PRP?
Platelet dose matters because platelets carry growth factors and other signalling molecules that influence the tissue response. A higher-quality PRP pathway aims to deliver a clinically meaningful platelet concentrate rather than a minimal or highly diluted preparation.
Is PRP covered by Medicare?
Platelet-rich plasma therapy is not currently covered by Medicare in Australia. PRP is considered an emerging and investigational therapy for most indications and does not attract a Medicare rebate.
How is PRP different from cortisone?
Cortisone is generally used to suppress inflammation and can provide faster short-term symptom relief. PRP is a biologic treatment intended to stimulate a healing response and is not designed as an immediate anaesthetic or steroid-like effect.
How long can Durolane (HA) last?
Durolane is an ultra-high molecular weight hyaluronic acid which has been shown to last significantly longer than many lower- or medium-molecular-weight HA products, with symptom relief of up to 18 months after a single injection reported in selected knee osteoarthritis studies.
